About me
Food, glorious food……unlike Oliver we get to eat more than gruel! At the end of a day’s work I find it really relaxing to spend an hour cooking dinner. Okay, a glass of chilled white helps as well!
A prolific veg garden, a large freezer and a well stocked larder…..and I’m in heaven!
We started married life in one room behind my other half’s photographic studio – with a two ring camping gas to cook on. Sausages, mash and baked beans was our first marital meal… luckily I now have a Paul Bocuse stove and a bigger repertoire of recipes.
I was lucky enough to be a stay at home mum so my two children always got a home cooked meal and I’m pleased to say they both now have a love of cooking too. Some of those meals are in the family recipe archive – Krishna Prawns, Chilli con Carne, Lamb ‘Doner kebab’ and the wonderfully named ‘Things in Bags’ -a mixture of leftover bolognese sauce, rice, peas, sweetcorn and a dash of tabasco, stuffed in a pitta bread.Try it, it’s delicious!
